Colour Correction and Grade for Magdaline

I recently completed the colour correction and grade for the short film 'Magdalene' directed by Gianluca Balla. Gianluca's film had a David Lynch vibe about it and I suggested we go heavy on the contrast! The whole film was shot at night on an A7sII in Slog-3 with different iso values. While Slog can be challenging, the DP properly exposed the images, giving me plenty of room to grade out most of the noise. We split the film in terms of grading; the first part was very dreamy so I went for very saturated colours. The second part needed to represent the 'harsh reality' so I slightly desaturated, pushed the contrast and shifted the colours towards the green slightly.
